Shimano Spectrum Plus Spin Rod 6' - 4-8kg
A versatile allrounder, the Spectrum plus series is a great fibreglass rod for beginner anglers.
The range features a glossy black and white blank, matched with specially shaped EVA grips. There are 16 models in this range to suit estuary, boat, surf fishing, with telescopic models available for travelling anglers.
The rods feature a fibreglass inserted construction with inserted glass tips for extra sensitivity, as well as ceramic guides. The Spectrum Plus series is a perfect class of rod for any entry level angler looking to get out there and catch their first fish.
Description
This is a big rod range, perfect for newcomers to fishing. They're high on performance and quality, but not necessarily on price.
From spin to surf, these rods can absorb all sorts of rough treatment (within reason!) and like most rods, it's the tip that cops it the worst. Shimano's glass tip design blends beautifully with the rest of the blank for added strength and protection, while still retaining bite sensitivity when needed.
